Helping Clients Turn Their Work into Award-Winning Stories
Overview
Alongside PR and marketing content, a big part of my work involves helping organisations tell their story through award submissions.

Over the past year (2025), I’ve worked with clients across sectors including automotive, logistics, financial services, construction and social enterprise, supporting them through the process of entering regional, national and industry awards.

In many cases, the work starts with conversations, pulling together evidence, milestones and moments of progress that might otherwise go unnoticed day to day. And from there, it’s about shaping those achievements into a clear narrative that judges can quickly understand and connect with.

Client Success Highlights

Culloden Cars

I worked with the Culloden Cars team on a series of national and regional award submissions that highlighted the dealership’s customer-first culture, leadership and community impact.
Recognition included multiple shortlist placements at the Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards, where the business secured the UK Independent Dealer Customer Care Award and a Highly Commended recognition for Independent Dealer of the Year.

Closer to home, Culloden Cars also won Best Marketing Campaign at the Highland Business Awards for their Dealership Diaries YouTube series, an honest behind-the-scenes look at life in a Highland dealership that has since built a huge online community. The year culminated with owner Craig Walker receiving the Dealers’ Dealer Award at the Used Car Dealer Awards, a peer-voted honour widely respected across the UK motor trade.
Tweed Wealth Management & Behavioural Finance

I supported award submissions across financial services and fintech programmes including the MoneyAge Wealth & Asset Management Awards, Financial Services Forum Awards for Innovation and Transformation, Scottish Financial Technology Awards, and the Professional Adviser Awards.

This work resulted in multiple shortlist placements, including Wealth Management Company of the Year at the Wealth & Asset Management Awards, Technology Firm of the Year for Behavioural Finance, and Best Innovation in the Use of Technology at the Financial Services Forum Awards.

The team also celebrated a double win at the SME UK Finance Awards with Wealth Management Firm of the Year 2025 - Scotland and Client Service Excellence.

These submissions highlighted the firm’s leadership in behavioural finance, innovative use of technology, and commitment to client-focused financial advice, helping position the business as a progressive voice within the UK wealth management and fintech sector.

M&H Carriers
I supported award submissions that recognised both operational performance and workplace culture within the logistics sector, including entries to the Motor Transport Awards, Logistics UK Awards, The Herald Top Employer Awards, and the Scottish Impact Awards.

A key milestone came when M&H Carriers won the Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Award (250+ employees) at the Scottish Impact Awards 2025, recognising the company’s commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace in a traditionally male-dominated industry. The company was also shortlisted for the Operational Excellence Award at the Motor Transport Awards, and Last Mile Delivery Business of the Year at the Logistics UK Awards.

By focusing on real stories from across the business, including colleagues finding their place in logistics for the first time, the entry demonstrated how inclusive practices can strengthen workplace culture while improving retention, engagement and long-term resilience across the organisation.
Packaging Solutions Scotland
For Packaging Solutions Scotland, entering the Aquaculture Awards was a step slightly outside their comfort zone. The team weren’t certain their work would stand out alongside larger industry names, but their contribution to more sustainable packaging within the aquaculture sector told a much stronger story than they realised.

By shaping that story into a clear, evidence-led submission, the company went on to win the Sustainability Award, gaining industry recognition and confidence in sharing their achievements more widely.
